Criteria for Direct School Admission to St Andrew's Junior CollegeIn June this year, SAJC will invite applications for admission to JC 1 in 2006 from students who are academically able and who are outstanding in at least one area of CCA. By academically able, we refer to students who would have achieved 14 points or less for their L1R5 in their secondary three final exams and the secondary four mid-year exams (wat sia...) Students who are to be admitted to JC1 in 2006 must have sat for the GCE 'O' levels or their equivalent by Dec this year.The Direct Admission Exercise will be conducted in two phases.Phase 1Offer stage: 30th May to 12th July 2005 (SAJC will short list and offer places to students at this stage)Acceptance Stage: 13th July to 15th July 2005 (Any student offered a place is guaranteed a place if he/she accepts the College's offer during this stage as long as the eligibility criteria for admission to a JC has been met)Cooling-off Stage: 15th July to 20th July 2005 (Students who have decided to accept a Phase 2 offer may chose to cancel their Phase 1 acceptance during this period)Phase 2 Offer Stage: 18th July to 26th July 2005Acceptance Stage: 27th July to 29th July 2005
Application forms for the Direct Admission to St Andrew's Junior College will be available for download from this site from 18th May 2006.
All Applications must be received by the College by 5.00pm on the 31st of May 2005. Late submissions will not be considered.
Applications via email will not be entertained. All applications must be submitted to the College in hard copy either via post or in person to the College's General Office.
Please note that short listed candidates may have to present themselves for an interview.
